MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - March 14, 2008 - According to research compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the United States and the world could face a severe shortage of engineers by the year 2025. Shakopee High School technology teacher Brad Thorpe initiated an innovative, “hands-on” educational program three years ago to help address this challenge by inspiring students to pursue careers in engineering.
